Miss Landman has returned to Wellington from a visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. West, of Wellington. are in Christchurch. bliss A. C. Freeman, of Wellington, is visiting Hamner Springs. Mrs. Davies is staying with her daughter, Mrs. Sharp, at Otaki Beach. Miss Eileen Pope, Wellington, is a visitor to Christchurch.

Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Brown are Wellington. visitors to Timaru. Mr. and Mrs. F, E. Brown are Wellington visitors to Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. Westoby have left for Sydney and expect to be away for some months.

Mrs. F. Kendall, of Hobson Crescent, has returned from a visit to Mnsterton, Woodville, and Palmerston North. Mrs. W. M. Page, Karori, and Miss Little have returned from a holiday in Marlborough Sounds. Miss C. Mclntosh has returned to Wellington after an extensive tour of the North Island. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson and Miss Moore, of Wellington, have been visiting Franz Josef Glacier. Mr. and Mrs. Sevier, and Mr. and Mrs, JO. J- McGowan, of Wellington, are visitors to Christchurch.

Mrs. Childs, of Wellington has been visiting Mrs. W. Lockhead, Milltown, Canterbury.

Miss Morris.' Wellington, has been visiting Mrs. Kemp, Southbridge, and is now in Christchurch.

Miss Withers and Miss Hale, of Welington. are visitors to Milford, Auckand.

Mrs. W. G. Stead and her son, Mr. James Stead, left Hastings this week, en route for England, where Mr. btead will join the Flying Corps. Miss Ivy Kerr, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Kerr, of Lilybank, Carnoustie, was entertained to a farewell dinner at Dunedin prior to her departure for New Zealand, where her marriage will take place with Mr. lan A. Mac Ewan, Wellington, states a London correspondent on December 12. Miss Valerie Corliss, A.R.A.M., has returned from Palmerston North, where she attended the annual conference of the New Zealand Society of Professional Teachers of Music as Wellington delegate. Miss Corliss read at the conference an interesting paper on “Colour in Music aud Related Arts.”

Two Christchurch girls, Miss Dorothey Smith and Miss Mavis Lawrence, who have been taking the parts of mannequins with the Lombardi, Ltd., Company in Christchurch, are to have further stage experience. They will proceed with the company, and will tour New Zealand for a month, playing the parts for which they have been trained in Christchurch. Miss Mavis Lawrence’ is known as a dancer here, and bliss Smith has had some experience on the amateur stage.
