POLICE PILL-BOXES
INTRODUCTION IN BIG CITIES OF ENGLAND (Rec. January 3, 11.45 p.m.) London, January 3. The police pill-box or kiosk has been adopted with remarkable speed by all the big cities in England. The boxes are being introduced wholesale, displacing the costlier and necessarily fewer sub-stations. As an instance, 101 already have been established in Bradford, where formerly there were twelve sub-stations. The public now have been brought much closer In touch with the police.
