PETONE BEACH CARNIVAL
Favoured with a fine day yesterday, many people took advantage of spending the afternoon in the sun on Petone’s foreshore, and joining in the fun of the fair. The 'carnival, although not having been graced with particularly good weather, has been a continued attraction for young and old throughout the holiday season, and last evening (Friday) being a late night many people came down to the beach after having finished their shopping. The many and varied sideshows were well patronised by young and old, and kept up their business almost till midnight. The gala will be continued to-day, and given fine weather there should be record numbers present at th.il popular carnival.
