In Braille the system of embossed writing which enables the blind to read by touch, blocks of six dots are used as a unit, and by leaving out one or more of these sixty-three combinations are possible. , ~ A dance floor that can be laid in a minute or rolled up and put away like a carpet consists of strips of wood firmly fixed to a strong canvas backing, and costs about as much per yard as a pile carpet.
