DEATH OF FORMER ATHLETE
« PROMINENT LONG-DISTANCE RUNNER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, January 3. William Livingstone, of Cookson Street, Kaiapoi, aged 54, died suddenly in the street near his home last evening. Deceased was a well-known taxi proprietor. He was at one time recognised as one of the Dominion’s best long-dis-tance runners, and was prominent in professional athletic circles over 20 years ago.
