ROUND OF FAREWELLS Dominion Special Service Auckland, January 3. Representatives of tlie King’s Empire Veterans with Captain Janies Stichbury at their head waited on the Governor-General Sir Charles Fergusson at Government House to bid him farewell in recognition of the active interest His Excellency has always taken in the welfare of the veterans. They presented him witn an illuminated address. A deputation of the Consular Corps called at Government House to-day to take leave of His Excellency. In the afternoon Sir Charles Fergusson paid a farewell visit to the Veterans’ Home at Mount Roskill and also to Knox Home for Incurables at Tamaki.
