There are over 800 passengers on the steamer Narbada, which was to arrive at Auckland from Singapore this week — beautiful birds, some of which are being imported to the Dominion for the first time (states the Auckland “Star”). A large number of birds are for the Auckland Zoo, while others are for members of the Auckland' Avicuitural Society. Most of them were collected at Singapore, which has become a sort of clearing house for birds in the East, with a world-wide market
