* INQUIRY INTO RUNNING OF LUCKY LIGHT OWNER’S EXPLANATION ACCEPTED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, January 8. At the conclusion of the last race at the Southland Racing Club’s meeting to-day an inquiry was held into the running of Lucky Light compared with her running in the Waihopai Handicap on the first day, when she was unplaced. Lucky Light is owned by the club s president, Mr. W. T. Hazlett. After hearing evidence the Judicial Committee unanimously resolved that the owner’s explanation be accepted.
