Mrs. A. Levy and Miss Chambers are spending a holiday at The Chateau, Tongariro. Mr. and Mrs. H. Lindsay, of Island Bay, have returned to Wellington after an extended trip to the north. Mrs. W. Viue has returned from the Sounds.

Mrs. Kofocd, of Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. Enright and Miss N. J. Enright, of Christchurch, arrived in Auckland by the Aorangi on their return from an overseas trip.

Miss Pauline Carrington .Stafford, of Kelburn, is a Wellington visitor to Auckland and is the guest of Mrs. David Moore.

Mr. and Mrs, C. F. Turner left Wellington for the south last week-end. Miss Dorothy Cumberworth, of Wellington, is visiting Diamond Harbour as the guest of the Misses Lovell-Smith. Mrs. John Hannah has taken Mrs. Corliss’s flat in Guthrie Street. Mrs. and Miss Valerie Corliss leave for a trip to England next month. Miss Macinorran, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. R. G. Macmorran, of Orakei Road, Remuera, Auckland. Mrs. 11. Corkili, of Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Miss M. Murphy, of Wellington, is spending a holiday in Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Rutter, of Wellington, are on a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. Dawson, of Wellington, is staying in Auckland. Major and Mrs. H. P. Gregor, of Wellington, are staying in Auckland. Mrs. Boocock and her daughter are spending their vacation .with Mrs. Pack at Plimmerton. ' Mrs. A. J. Toogood is spending the holidays at Rangiotu while Mr. Toogood is in Sydney. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Tripp (Wellington) are the guests of Miss Tripp, Orari Gorge, Timaru. Miss Lees, of Wellington, was in Hamilton during the week. Mrs. S. Smith, of Wellington, is a visitor to Auckland. Miss Olive Barth (Wellington) is the guest of the Misses Barth, Musselburgh, Dunedin. Mrs. J. B. Mac Ewan, of Wellington, returned from England, via Canada, by the Aorangi. Mrs. Lang, of Wellington, was m Hamilton during the week. _ Mr. and Mrs. W. Russell, of Hataitai, are staying at the Souuds for the holidays. , ~ Mr. A. Green, of Wellington, and his daughter, Miss Molly, are spending a holiday in Auckland, Mrs. Harkness, widow of Captain D. E. Harkness, one of the victims of the flying-boat crash at Milford, left by the Limited for ■Wellington on Sunday. She is accompanied by her two children and will join the Tahiti, which sails for San Francisco. Thence she will travel direct to her parents’ home in New York. Mr. and Mrs. Johnston, of Washington, U.S.A., are visiting New Zealand and left for Christchurch last night after a brief stay in Wellington, where Mrs. Johnston (who was Miss Kitty Reading, of Wellington and Christchurch) will visit old friends. They return to Wellington in a fortnight’s time. Amongst the passengers to New Zealand by the Tahiti was Mrs. Agness Kerr Crawford, of Honolulu and New York. Mrs. Kerr Crawford, who is a journalist, is enjoying a five months’ vacation in

Australia and New Zealand, and intends also to go to Fiji. Incidentally, she is collecting material for travel articles which she intends to publish on her return to the States.
