Rutter, of Wellington, are on a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. Dawson, of Wellington, is staying in Auckland. Major and Mrs. H. P. Gregor, of Wellington, are staying in Auckland. Russell, of Hataitai, are staying at the Souuds for the holidays. , ~ Mr. A. Green, of Wellington, and his daughter, Miss Molly, are spending a holiday in Auckland, Mrs. Harkness, widow of Captain D. E. Harkness, one of the victims of the flying-boat crash at Milford, left by the Limited for ■Wellington on Sunday. She is accompanied by her two children and will join the Tahiti, which sails for San Francisco. Thence she will travel direct to her parents’ home in New York. Mr. and Mrs. Johnston, of Washington, U.S.A., are visiting New Zealand and left for Christchurch last night after a brief stay in Wellington, where Mrs. Johnston (who was Miss Kitty Reading, of Wellington and Christchurch) will visit old friends. They return to Wellington in a fortnight’s time. Amongst the passengers to New Zealand by the Tahiti was Mrs. Agness Kerr Crawford, of Honolulu and New York. Mrs. Kerr Crawford, who is a journalist, is enjoying a five months’ vacation in

Australia and New Zealand, and intends also to go to Fiji. Incidentally, she is collecting material for travel articles which she intends to publish on her return to the States.
