By pressing a button, the patient in a newly-designed hospital bed can control his position from lying down to sitting up, and make the mattress move up or down. About eleven different breeds of pigs are reared in Britain, a point which handicaps breeders in their rivalry with Denmark, where a “standard” type, of pig has been adopted.
