OLD MAN’S BODY FOUND IN PLANTATION. z By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, December 26. Richard Pascoe, aged 78, was found dead in a plantation at Lyttelton last evening with his throat cut. At the inquest to-day, Charles Albert Pascoe, sou of the deceased, said his father had been worried and depressed recentlyconcerning his health, but had given no indication he might take his own life. The Coroner found that Pascoe committed suicide while in a depressed state of mind.
