WRECK OF MANUKA
LLOYD’S DECISION AWAITED.

Dunedin, December 20. Pending the receipt from London .of Lloyd’s decision with regard to the Manuka, based on the report of the Dunedin surveyors, the local underwriters are taking no action, and it is expected that a matters connected with the Manukas hull and cargo will be taken over, by the SalVfljxc Association. London. THE MARINE INQUIRY ASSESSORS APPOINTED. The Marine Department advise that the Magisterial inquiry into the circumstances onnected with the wreck of the Manuka will be hold nt Dunedin on January 6. Captain S. G. Stringer and Captaiir L. C. H. Worrall have been appointed to sit as nautical assessors nt “captain Stringer was formerly tendont of mercantile marine at V ton for the Marine Department, and retired on superannuation some time ago Captain.. Worrall. prior to retiring from the Union Steam Ship Company s service three and a half years ago was master of the R.M.S. Makura. He resides at Wellington '
