AN OLD CHRISTMAS RECIPE
Take one quart of water, one large spoonful of oatmeal, a blade of mace, and a little piece of lemon peel. Stir all together and boil for fifteen minutes. Then strain and put again h a saucepan with half a pound of seed-free raisins and allow to boil very softly for another fifteen minutes. Sweeten as you like it and grate a little nutmeg nnon it.
