“SHOPLIFTING TOUR”
WOMAN FINED TWENTY POUNDS By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, December 20. A series of shop-lifting charges was admitted by Anna Alexander Mills, aged 43, married, in the Magistrate’s Court. Chief-Detective Hammond described the offences as a Christmas shop-lifting tour, incensed; visited live shops and stole something from each one. She was fined £2O for a similar offence two years ago. The Magistrate (Mr. F. K. Hunt) said that but for the fact that accused was in very bad health he would send her to prison. She would be fined £2O.
