SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

Tuesday's gathering at the Sailors’ Friend Society took the form of a Christinas social, and a truly happy time was passed by the party of seafarers who rewarded the helpers with stirring applause and encores.

The surprise packet provided a keen contest. Light refreshments give a Christmas touch to the evening.

The performers were the Jfesdaines .MeKinlav. Southward, and Booth, the. Misses Kay Sturroch. Jorgensen, and Messrs. Booth. Hogan, Shields, and Gold. Mr. McKinlav and Miss Campbell were at the piano. Mr. J. 'Moore, missioner, chatted on “The Proof of the Pudding” in relation to teinpera nee. Pledges followed.
