BREACHES OF AWARD

RESTAURANT PROPRIETOR FINED. Velimar Bingoula, a restaurant proprietor, of 38 Willis Street, was fined £2 by Mr. T. B. McNeil, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday on a charge of having failed to exhibit in a conspicuous place in his restaurant a statement of holidays and working hours of each of his employees as required by the New Zealand Tea-room and Restaurant Employees’ Award. He was also fined £5 for'failing to keep a proper wages and time book, £3 for failing to pay a kitchen worker the rate of wages prescribed by the award, and £1 for failing to pay a waitress the proper wages prescribed by the award.
