LINESMAN ELECTROCUTED
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, December 5. An electric linesman named Arthur Benton, a single man, aged 40, and residing in Dunedin, was engaged with two other workmen yesterday afternoon at Mauhgahau, near Mosgiel, in putting a transmission line on to the main line from Waipori to Dunedin when he was electrocuted. The new line was being hauled across the main line, which was carrying 35,000 volts. The deceased’s hand apparently came in contact with the bare wire.
