MINE EXPLOSION
DISASTER IN WALES THIRTY-THREE RESCUED SEVEN ENTOMBED MEN FOUND DEAD (United Press Association.— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Rec. November 29, 8.50' p.m.) London, November 29. An explosion occurred at Wernbwl Colliery, near Gowerton, Glamorgan, in which there were forty men. Relief parties and doctors rushed to the scene. All were rescued, except seven, who were entombed, and who later were found dead. Five bodies were recovered.
