LEVIN NOTES
The Methodist Sunday School anniversary services last week-eml were a great success. The Rev. .1. E. Parsons, of Palmerston North, gave an interesting and most instructive address to the children and a full church of parents. The annua) prize-giving took place on Tuesday night. Mr. J. C. Gardener (superintendent) tiresided. Mr. Wm. Plaster read the report ami balance-sheet, and the latter disclosed a credit of over £7, while the former recorded a large increase in the roll. During the evening Mr. 11. E. Keys, eonductor for the last few years, was piesealed with a copy of (he school hymnal In the absence of Mrs. Beckett, the pastor made the presentations. Miss Murphy, supervisor of the local exchange, lias tendered her resignation in view of her approaching marriage, ami will leave Levin at the cud of the month.
