Limited went slightly amiss, and this led to him dropping out of hfs engagement in the Flying Handicap at Feilding. Ho is now all right again, and may be seen out on Monday. Ruanui will be ridden by D. Jarrell in the Feilding Cup. The son of Limond ■—Rose Queen is a very hard puller, and the boy may not be able to manage him properly. If he can, Ruanui will be hard to beat, as he is very well, and usually runs good races at Feilding. A lot of rain fell yesterday and softened the tracks. . / t This morning Ceremony slipped over half a mile in 48 2-ssee., running the first quarter in a shade under 24sec. He finished nicely, and though perhaps not at his very best should run a big race in the Stakes at Feilding if the going is reasonably firm. Pedestal and Drastic sprinted four furlongs without being fully extended tn aO 4-ssec., the former being a shade in front. Mr. .1. G. Paul intends to run Arisus in the Stakes on Saturday and the Nursery on Monday. The son of Thespian—Pennon went half a mile this morning in company with Just an Idea.
