CANCER TREATMENT

CURE BY KEROSENE CLAIMED DISCOVERER OF METHOD IN WELLINGTON Mr. L. White, of Erankton Junction, reports of whose recovery from cancer by his own treatment, with heated kerosene created, widespread interest throughout the Dominion;, is at present in Wellington, treating, a patient regardcd as incurable, but who is* stated to be responding to the treatment. Another case, in the city is also being treated under his directions, Mr. White told the story, of his method of treatment to a “Dominion” representative yesterday, in the hope that-it might give some relief to those who are suffering from cancer. He, said'it was ,a little over, a year ago since ;he curpd himself of a cancerous growth. in the body brought about by an injury. He was. operated on, and had the growth , removed, but nine months later it returned with greater vigour. The hospital doctors pronounced it a malignant growth and gave him radium treatment, .but the malady got worse. He then commenced to treat himself with injections of kerosene heated td as great a temperature as he could stand, and this finally destroyed the cancer. Recently Mr. White, was requested to attend a ease at Balclutha, and on his way back, was asked to .treat, two cases in Wellington. He is administering the treatment himself in one, case, arid a nurse is looking after the other under his directions. In the case’hb himself 1 is treat 1 ing he says that the cancer already shown

signs of -a favourable response, and he feels very hopeful as,to the, result. He claims no medical knowledge on the. subject, but he snys heated kerosene draws the cancer and kills it. Another Case. ; . Yesterday Mr. White received a telegram asking' him to attend On urgent case at Rotorua, but he is not prepared to leave his patients in Wellington, and.: telegraphed for details concerning the case, following which he would prescribe treatment. Numerous requests of- a similar nature have been received, but Mr. White states that he will remain in Wellington fdr some time yet. "' ' The kerosene treatment, said Mr. White, was used by, his mother and other people in his young days for colds, bronchitis, pneumonia, and diphtheria. What led him to use it on himkelf was the success which followed the treatment of a, valuable ihare for fistula. It had a huge hole in the shoulder, and the veterinary surgeons could do nothing ' with it. The animal was given to a man to shoot, with 5/- for doing it. Instead of shooting it he applied the kerosene treatment and the animal recovered. .. ' / Mr. White said his own wife was suddenly taken seriously ill with pneumonia and diphtheria, and semed to be at death’s door. Tt'was a case of desperate diseases requiring desperate remedies. He poured some kerosene from a bottle down her throat. She vomited and he gave her some more. An hour .later his wife regained consciousness and said she could feel the effects of the kerosene clearing her lungs. She recovered rapidly after that. Methods of Use. ; \ In the case of internal growth, said Mr. White, hot water should be drunk first, and then a dose of cold kerosene, an eggcup full. This should be done twice a day. In other forms the cancer should first be drawn with cloths dipped in hot water. Castor oil should then be applied to the skin round the. cancer to prevent burning, and then cloths soaked with hot kerosene should be laid on the cancer and covered with another cloth to keep the heat in. Additional hot kerosene could be poured on the cloths instead of removing them from, the body., Mr. White said that he used kerosene fomentations quite successfully in a bad case of septic poisoning on one occasioon. when a man was in danger of losing his foot. In four days the treatment drew the poison from the limb, and the rest was merely healing. In diphtheria cases the throat should be gargled with neat kerosene. A day or two ago Mr. White had a letter from a man at Dannevirke suffering from cancer, saying he had tried the treatment as he had seen it described in the papers, and the cancer had already gone down to the size of a sixpence.
