Miss C. Morice, Wellington, is the guest of. Mrs. A.. Fitzherbert, Palmerston North.

Miss Barnicoat has returned from Wanganui. Mrs. W. A. Fordham and Mrs. T. Brice are Wellington visitors to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. John Myers and Misses Martha and Marjorie Myers are Wellington visitors to Christchurch. Miss Kennedy has returned from a short visit to Christchurch. Mrs. Frank Dyer nnd Miss Dyer have returned from Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Goullet, of Wellington, are visiting Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. H. Barker are at present in Timaru. Mrs. A. T. Wells, of Wellington, is staying in Auckland. Mrs. R. Sutherland is visiting Auckland. Mrs. F. Vickerman and Miss M. Firth have returned from a trip to the Islands. Mrs. C. W. Rickard, of Wellington, is visiting her mother in Auckland. Mrs. Stone and family, of Foxton, have taken up their residence in Wellington. Mrs. P. B. Broad has returned to her home at Karori after a holiday at Waikanae. Mrs. F. A. Knight is the guest of Mrs. Duncan McKay at “Motuhara,” Kare,hana Bay, Plimmerton. Mrs. A. Hornblow, who has been on holiday in Foxton, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. W. Brown has returned from England, and has taken up her residence in Tinakori Road once more.

A very pleasant afternoon was given at “Vaucluse,” Roseneath, by Mrs. Richardson and Miss Thelma Richardson in honour of the approaching marriage of Miss Doris Bailey, of Hataitai. A bouquet of pink rosebuds and lavender carnations was presented to the guest of honour, and a posy of red rosebuds to Mrs. Bailey. The room was tastefully decorated with greens and bowls of roses. Musical items and competitions made the afternoon a very enjoyable one. Miss Bailey received many fine gifts and the good wishes of all.
