BOROTRA UNABLE TO VISIT AUSTRALIA. London, November 21. The tennis star Jean Borotra informed a “Sun” representative that he was unable to take a French tenuis team to Australia owing to pressure of business undertakings. SECONDARY SCHOOLS’ TOURNAMENT. Excellent entries have been received from Chilton House, Girls’ College, East Girls’ College. Marsden, Queen Margaret, Hutt Valley High School, and Technical College for the fourth annual tournament which commences this morning on the Miramar courts at 9. o’clock. Umpires who are willing to assist will be welcomed by the honorary secretary, Mr. W. J. Melody, who is controlling the tournament. PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ TOURNAMENT Entries for the big primary schools’ tournament which commences at Miramar on Saturday next at 8 a.m. elose on Tuesday next at 4.15 p.m. at the annual meeting of the Wellington Public Schools’ Lawn Tennis Association at the Wellington Educational Institute rooms. For this monster tournament over a hundred umpires are urgently needed, and ’ those willing to assist are asked to ring telephone 27—639 at their early convenience.
