OPPONENTS OF SOVIET
ORGANISATION IN UKRAINE (Rec. November 22, 7 p.m.) Moscow, November 21. . A counter-revolutionary organisation, headed by Chekhovsky, ex-Premier in Petldra’s Government, the former Ministers, Efremov and Nikovsky, and several others, have been discovered in the Ukraine, according to the Tass Agency, which declares that the organisation aimed to convert the Ukraine into a capitalistic State, controlled by a certain neighbouring State. The organisation is said to have been in close contact with the Petlurist centre in Poland, and foreign representatives in tlie Ukraine. It also created a union of Ukrainian youth for terroristic attempts on members of the Soviet Government. Those arrested confessed, and will be tried by the Ukrainian Supreme Court.
PEASANTS SENTENCED TO DEATH Riga, November 21. The “Isvesthj” announces that the Soviet authorities have sentenced to death without the right of appeal ten peasants at Sukhum, Geoigia, for forming a Kulak (peasant) organisation to wreck the Soviet’s agricultural plans. __________
