RAIN CAUSES POSTPONEMENT OF FLIGHT DISAPPOINTED MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. November 17, 5.5 p.m.) London, November 16. Twenty peers and eighty members of the House of Commons, including four women, who intended to take flight in airship RlOl, were deeply disappointed on assembling in pouring rain at Palace Yard, Westminster, for conveyance to Cardington, to learn fiom an Air Ministry official that the weather conditions were too unfavourable to permit of the flight. Miss Ellen Wilkinson looked very crestfallen She said she had flown in a gale before. There were only a few drops of rain to-day. Mr. Jack Hayes said he was disappointed to miss the chance of getting near heaven. Another member: “There is one consolation. If we had all gone up and anything had happened there would have been a General Election in record time.” -
