Meteorological Office. Wellington, Sunday, November 17, 19-9, 4 p.m. An anti-cyclone is moving on to Northern New Zealand. A senes ot sli„ut low-pressure waves has been passing to the southwards, while a cuep depression is located over South-Eastern Australia. South-west to westerly winds north of Auckland; elsewhere westerly to northerly; moderate to strong generally and freshening to gale force at times, more especially about Cook and Foveaux Straits. Seas rough south of Cape Egmont and off-shore south of Castlepoint; elsewhere moderate in New Zealand waters. Northerly winds in the Eastern Tasman Sea, moderate in the northern portion, with moderate seas, and strong to gale force in the southern portion with rather rough seas. Weather fair to fine generally at first, and becoming unsettled shortly in western districts of Taranaki southwards with rain developing. Mild temperatures.
