CHESS
PURDY WINS NEW SOUTH WALES CHAMPIONSHIP.
Sydney, November 15. The State chess championship was won by C. Purdy with 10-4 points out of a possible 12. S. Crakanthorp was run-ner-up. Purdy, who is the son of Dr. Purdy, won the New Zealand title in 1925 at the age of eighteen.
