A NEW SCHOLARSHIP

A now scholarship to bo open to pupils in the highest form at Wellington College has been founded by Mr. John Gallio in memory of bis two sons who lost their lives during the Great War. The conditions governing tile scholarship were approved by the Board of Governors yesterday. A sum of £lOOO has been lodged with the Public Trustee for him to invest in the common fund of the Public Trust Office. The interest therefrom will be paid in perpetuity to the College Board of Governors for the purpose of establishing a scholarship which is to be known as “The Oscar and Victor Gallie Memorial Scholarship.” This has been founded in memory of the late Capt. Oscar Eugene Gallie, D. 5.0., M.C.. R.F.A., who was killed, in action in Flanders, and the late Captain Victor James Gallie, M.C.. C. de G.. R.F.A., who died as the result of disabilities received in action.
