Supreme Court writs arising out of the Federal election campaign were issued to-day on behalf of Union Theatres Limited against the “Sydney Morning Herald,” claiming £lO,OOO for alleged libel. Others claimed £5OOO for alleged slander against Archdale Parkhill, Nationalist candidate for Warringah; Arthur Manning, Nationalist candidate for Wentworth; and H. W. Horsfeld, general secretary to the Nationalist Association.
