SEIZURE IN COURT

“CONFIRMED DRUG ADDICT.” By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, October 3. Bernard Luks, aged 27, a hairdresser, charged with the theft of goods valued at £3O and a small amount in cash from a hospital and from various shops, had a seizure in the prisoners’ room at tlje Magistrate’s Court this morning before the case was heard. He was described by the police as a confirmed drug addict. He had previously been on Roto Roa Island, and went straight for six months, but drugs got him down.

Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., ordered him to remain at Roto Roa for two years.
