ARMED MAN RUNS AMUCK

INDISCRIMINATE SHOOTING OF NEIGHBOURS A WEST AUSTRALIAN SENSATION

(United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.)

Australian Press Association.

(Rec. October 1, 9.5 p.m.)

Perth, October 1.

A man named Harry Hall, armed with a revolver, ran amuck at Palmyra last night and killed his neighbour, Robert Banks. He then visited the home of the Hepburn family and shot Hepburn and his wife and daughter. Hall then roamed the district overnight and shot Harry Burton, a local milkman. The police surrounded his home, but before Hall could be arrested he shot himself dead. Hepburn and his wife are in a critical condition. Later.

Burton is now dead. It is understood that Hall's mind was affected by a delusion that his neighbours were robbing him.
