BRITAIN AND CANADA
ECONOMIC CONFERENCE PROPOSED

The British Government is ready to hold an economic conference in Canada with the Dominion, Mr. J. H. Thomas announced on Wednesday, in addressing the Canadian Club. He stated that he had consulted members of the Canadian Government, and made definite proposals, but, he added, such matters should first be discussed by Parliament. PREPARING FOR IMPERIAL CONFERENCE Ottawa, August 28. The Minister of Justice, Mr. E. Lapointe, will represent the Canadian Government at the London meeting on October 8 of the Committee to consider and make recommendations regarding legal points raised at the last Imperial Conference.
