LAND SETTLEMENT IN CENTRAL OTAGO
< Sir, —J would be glad of an opportunity to correct a misprint (or a possible mistake on my part) which appeared in my letter in this morning’s paper. In the concluding paragraph I write, “Neither ’Ex-Central' or Mr. Bodkin acknowledge in any shape or form the rights of the man on leasehold land—this is, of course, a straight-out Labour Barty platform; but have we a Labour Government, in New Zealand?” As printed it reads: “have we a Labour Party in New Zealand?” —I am. etc., “BACKBLOCKS SETTLER.” Wellington, August 5.
