ACCESS TO KHANDALLAH
IMPROVEMENTS WANTED. The poor facilities which are at present available for gaining access to Khandallali occupied the attention of the Khandullah Proeyessive Association last night. Mr. D. G. Clark presided over the meeting. The scheme considered was for the widening of Nicholson Road, and its connection with the Railway Settlement Road, so as to give an alternative access to Khatidallah and Te Kianga. The chairman stated that the Railway Department, when approached, expressed tbemsclvesy as favourable to the project, conilitidiial upon the council taking the road at the Railway Settlement, and the Department would give some land to facilitate the . junction of Nicholson and Railway Settlement Roads. They would object to any expense in connection with the scheme.
It was decided to place the proposal before the chairman of the Worlds Committee of the City Council (Mr. R.' A. Wright. M.P.).
