“We grrtders have received a rap over th knuckles for this, and we want to avoid another.” declared Mr. E. Wood, chief Government grader at Auckland, speaking to a conference of Auckland dplrv factor? managers, in directing attention to the fact that during the past season trouble had been occasioned owing to a number of northern factories using incorrectly-constructed butter boxes. Produce had been exported in boxes made from tongue and groove timber, not otherwise fastened. He hoped t*he offending companies would pay attention to the matter, and ensure that their packing came up to standard requirements. This could be accomplished by the use of glue or of corrugated fasteners.
