HONOURS AWARDED
DUKE OF GLOUCESTER’S VISIT TO JAPAN (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, July 20. Sir John Tilley, British Ambassador at Tokio, has been made a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order; Lord Airlie, Rear-Admiral Meade and Major-General Sir Hugh Ellis, Knights Commander; and Mr. Hugh Lloyd Thomas, a Commander in the same Order, on the occasion of the recent mission of the Duke of Gloucester to Japan to invest the Emperor with the Order of the Garter.
