HUTT WINTER CUP TOURNEY WON BY H. P. DALE The semi-finals and final of the Hutt Golf Club open tourney for the Winter Cup, wire played on Saturday, the event being won by H. P. Dale, of Eltham. Following are the results of the various matches: — WINTER CUP CHAMPIONSHIP. Semi-Finals. H. P. Dale beat C. B. Thomas, 1 up at the 19th. R. Wagg beat J. Goss. Final. Dale beat Wagg, 4 and 8. Dale played fine golf, equalling 4 s for the round. FLIGHT MATCHES. Group A: J. Martin beat M. L. Oldershaw, 1 up. Group B: C. L. Dentice beat M. J. Crombie, 6 and 5. Group C: W. G. Martin beat G. H. SC Group D: C. F. Caulton beat T. Pain, 2 and 1; R. G. Hayward beat J. Kerr, 3 and 2; Caulton beat Hayward, 5 and 4. FOUR-BALL BOGEY COMPETITION. 1 The best cards returned in the fott»« ball bogey handicap were:— H. C. Burns and T. Pain, 7 up; R. L. Ingham and C. B. Thomas, 7 up; M. L. Paulin and S. P. Longuet, 2 up. BRITISH TEAM TO VISIT AUSTRALIA Australian Press Association. Melbourne, July 20. The secretary of the Australian Golt Union has received a cablegram from the secretary of the Royal and Ancient Club of St. Andrews stating that four players will probably visit Australia m the middle of October or next year. Tolley will be included.
