AUCKLAND CITY ENGINEER
QUESTION OF SUCCESSOR TO MR. BUSH Dominion Special Service. Auckland, June 10. The appointment of a successor to Mr. W. E. Bush as city engineer in Auckland was discussed by the Finance Committee of the City Council to-day. Since the departure of Mr. Bush to take up au appointment in Brisbane, Mr. J. Tyler has been acting city engineer and the matter of a new appointment was left over until the new City Council had been elected. At a meeting to-day the matter received consideration up to a point, where it was decided to appoint a subcommittee to frame recommendations which will lie submitted to the City Council at its next meeting.
