At last week’s conference of the Provincial Fruit Growers’ Council it was rtaolved that the council felt that the time was opportune to Come witliiii the jurisdiction of the Control Act. - It is now stated that this is contrary to the wishes of 80 per, cent.. of ’ the Otago growers, and steps are contemplated to prevent the resolution effecting its purpose. ‘ '
