RACIAL TROUBLES
UNREST IN QUEENSLAND SUGAR FIELDS * Brisbane, June 3. The “Police Journal” draws attention to rumours of threatened racial troubles in the Northern sugar fields, and urges an increase in the strength of the police. The Australian Workers’ Union agreement with the mills, limiting the number of foreigners employed, is the genesis of the unrest.
