STATE DENTAL SYSTEM
OBJECTION FROM LODGE Dominion Special Service. . Auckland, June 3. Disagreement with the views expressed by the Loyal Orange Lodge, at its recent conference in Wellington, has been recorded by the Hon. H. Atmore, Minister of Education. The Minister was recently advised by the lodge that a resolution had been passed affirming the principle of State education as at present conducted, and objecting to any extension of the privileges to private schools. In reply, noting the purport of the resolution, the Minister, according to a statement in Auckland to-day, has made the point clear that he is not in accord with the view; that an extension of the dental clinic system should mot be made to denominational schools. It was not reasonable to expect parents of children attending other than State schools to be debarred from amenities in the way of the dental service supplied by the State. Such parents were taxpayers and it was not fair that they should not be allowed the privileges the State provided. \
