THE WAIRARAPA EXHIBITION
SUCCESSFUL VENTURE CONCLUDES
Masterton, June 1. The Wairarapa Industrial and Art Exhibition closed last night when the three halls were frequented by a large crowd taking a last opportunity to view the displays. Compared with the 1927 exhibition, this yeaPs offort has been a great success. It is estimated that dido people paid for admission to the industrial exhibition; while some,3ooo school children were admitted free of charge, while the number of those..paying for admission to the art section Ms to be added. The total takings of the industrial section are £234 ss„ and,those of the art section £lll 4s. Daily takings of the industrial section-, are Wfollow: Monday, £37 10s.; Tuesday, £33 loaded.; Wednesday, £42 Ils.; Thursday, £36 ss. 6d.; Friday, £47 35.; Saturday, £37.! The prizes won during the., Empire Week window display were presented tothe winners to-night by- the Mayor (Mr. T. Jordan).
