AIRPORT HANGAR
Sir, —Whilst perusing your issue of May 30 1 noticed under the heading of “City and Suburban News” a paragraph referring to the temporary hangar at Lyall Bay. Might one ask your local interested resident how much he has done towards erecting, subscribing or helping with this temporary hangar? Or does he know that all he sees so far erected on the Lyall Bay ground to be a very generous gift, erected by voluntary unskilled labour? Does he know to what purpose it ■is being erected?- I am afraid not; he happens to be one of those who have been the cause of holding Wellington back, with its war memorial, etc., too much criticism and not enough help. If your “Local Interested Resident” wants to improve on what is being done, let him roll up his sleeves any Saturday afternoon and come along to the “Shanty” and we shall be glad of his help.— I am, etc., AN INTERESTED WORKER. Wellington, May 31.
