TO-DAY’S GAMES « Soccer supporters should again see two good games at the Basin Reserve to-day. The looked-for meeting between Diamonds and Petone on No. 1 ground should draw a big crowd. Diamonds still keep their unbeaten record, and the way they defeated Waterside shows that they will be a hard team to beat. Their defence is strong, whilst their forwards are fast and nippy, and seldom miss an opportunity to score. Should they defeat. Petone their hold on the championship is secure. Petone have been playing high-class football. and are keen to be the first team to lower the colours of Diamonds. They will probably make the game fast and onen On No. 2 ground Marist and Waterside will meet. Both teams possets voting and fast players, and this game should provide a good exhibition of ejevet football. Patrons are reminded that the games start, at 2.45 p.m. The usual curtain-raisers will start at 1.15 p. M and will be well worth seeing. , On Monday (King’s Bi £ th day), Senior A team will play Senior B at 10.30 a.m. The referee will be Mr. E. VCf, 1 ' lington and Canterbury fourth ffrad*, teams will meet at 1.15 P- m ‘ F Thorn). Wellington and Canterbury senior representatives will try conelustow at °45 p.m. The two last-mentioned game’s will be played on the Basu? Reserve. ______
