SUPERIOR TO OTHERS. The president of the New Zealand Grain, Seed and Produce Merchants Federation (Air. J. J. Corry, of Blenheim) has been making representations to the Department of Agriculture in regard to the recent report by Air. Bruce Levy, Government Agristologist, regarding New Zealand red clovers, As Air. Corry anticipated, Air. Levy’s remarks have been misinterpreted by a recent Press message. Air. Levy has now issued a further statement clarifying the position. Briefly, what he really said was that, whilst the New Zealand broad red was of itself superior to other countries, this type itself was not as good for permanent pasture as the late red types.
