Reference was made yesterday by the chairman, Mr. G. Fitzgerald, at the annual meeting of shareholders of the New Zealand Investment, Mortgage, and Deposit Co., Ltd., to the death of Mr. W. G. Foster, for 23 years chairman of the company. Directors and shareholders, he said, would miss him keenly. The heartfelt sympathy of the directors had been extended to Mrs. Foster and family in their bereavement. Regret was also expressed at the daeth of Mr. Walter Bethune, who, although he had held no official position, was for many years a shareholder in the company.
