A ten-year-old Maori girl, Lily Otene, of Puha, was yesterday presented by the Mayor, Mr. Coleman, with the Royal Humane Society’s certificate for bravery. In December last the girl displayed great presence of mind in endeavouring to save the life of her young brother, whose clothing caughi alight.
