CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW
The show to be held to-morrow in the Town Hall is attracting the attention ot growers from far and near. lhe sliowclirysanthemum is no doubt the most perfect of man's artificial productions, it being worked up from a wild seedling in the hills of northern China abouhan inch and a half in diameter. How different to the beautiful Turners, Rose-days and Lloyds, of the present day. The dahlia also shows a marked improvement in recent ye ars anc * many of the latest and best will be on view to-morrow. There will alee 5® ,? comprehensive display of pot plants, fruit and vegetables. The ladles’ decorative section, always popular with the pubiic, shows a marked" increase, a .number ot new exhibitors coming forward. Algood orchestra has been engaged. Show Mo°m s will be on sale and the ladies-of the society are providing afternoon tea.show will be open continuously from; - nm. to 9.30 p.m. The official opening will be by the Minister of Education, the Hon. H. Atmore, at 3 p.m.
