LIVE STOCK SALES FEILDING Dominion Special Service, Feiiding, April 19. Though them was a. large yarding of both’ fat and store sheep at the Feiiding Sale to-day, prices- remained firm lor ail classes. (Some inferior stock in the fat pens, and these did not fetch high prices, but good quality was in demand by butchers and sold well. Store sheep, both ewes and lambs, were in very good demand, and prices received were in favour of vendors. Though many farmers have stocked up more than usual at this, time of year, there is still fin unsatisfied demand, thanks to the splendid season and ewes and lambs were selling at good prices. Farmers still find it necessary to stock up owing to an abundance of feed. Fat lambs ranged from 20s. 3d. to 255. 2d., fat ewes 275. lOd. and 225., and two-tooth ewes at 305.; twenty fat wethers sold at 275. Gd. and 295. Bd. These prices are considered very 'good considering the quality. There was a heavy yarding of store sheep, four and five-year ewes running with Southdown rams selling at 30s. and 325. Gd.; two-tooth ewes. 335.; two. four and six-tooth ewes running with Southdown rams, 325.; ewe lambs, 285.; wether lambs, IGs. sd„ 17s. 5(1.. 21s. 9d.; mixed woolly S.D. lambs, 18s. 3d.: empty ewes. 19s. 1(1.; wethers, two-tooth, 285.; rape lambs at ISs. 10d. Small yarding .of cattle were offered to keen buyers. Dairy stock, especially cows, continue to attract good prices, £ll 10s. being paid for cows in milk. Fat cattle are not fetching the prices offering a few months ngo, but the quality is not now offering., Dairy stock, springing heifers, realised £G 15s. to £9 17s. Gd.; Jersey heifers (poor). £3 10s.: wenner heifers'. £2 ISs.: cows in milk. £ll 10s.; empty cows, £4 7s. Gd. to £6 2s. Gd. Of the stores, small weaner steers brought 15s. to £4 55.. according to size; two-year steers. £9 and £9 25.; heifers running with hull, £6 to £7; Jersey bull. £5 2s.
