According to Jlr. 11. P. Lnwry. S.M.. some women make very unreliable witnesses Ju court cases. One woman witness was giving her evidence in n maintenance ease in Christchurch the other tiny, when .Mr. Lnwry objected Hint she had already contradicted herself several times. “Well, Your Worship. you know what women are.” began her counsel apologetically. “Yes: that is just Hie trouble with some women.” said Mr. La wry. “They forget that they are on their oath when they get into the witness-box, and they say the first thing that comes into their heads.”
